Script:

• Shot #1
  - Father pantomimes to “new” car in driveway, showing all his pride and affection
  - Father invites daughter to drive, daughter declines, would rather read book
  - Father gets good idea: goes out of scene and returns with two chairs
  - Father sits down on a chair, illustrates driving, invites daughter
  - Daughter sits down, puts only one hand on her imaginary steering wheel
  - Father grabs other hand and slaps it up on steering wheel, then gently pats it and smiles
  - Daughter pulls out book and pretends to drive and read at the same time
  - Father slaps it down, getting irritated at lack of dedication
  - Father gently pushes in clutch and shifts gears, pretends to drive slowly down the road
  - Daughter shifts wildly, leans in and “speeds away” in her imaginary car
  - Father is nearly thrown from car by wild driving
  - Father gets good idea: use stop sign to show starting and stopping
  - Father removes one chair, goes off camera, grabs stop sign prop
  - Daughter pulls out book while father is getting prop
   
• Shot #2
  - Daughter sits, father begins instruction
  - Father alternates sign between Stop and Go, instructing daughter
  - Daughter drives wildly, causing father narrowly avoid death
   
• Shot #3
  - Father gestures for daughter to get into car and try it
  - Father removes other chair, goes off camera
  - Daughter pulls out book while father is off camera, father returns
  - Daughter is too short, needs a big book, daughter offers little book, father swats it down
  - Father goes off camera to obtain big book, daughter gets in
  - Father resists requests to ride along, asserts his love for car with pat on heart
  - Stunt driver switch
   
• Shot #4 (from top of step ladder)
  - Father tells daughter to drive out of driveway, goes off camera to grab megaphone
  - Father stands back, barks out orders from rear of car with megaphone
  - Daughter does everything opposite of father’s instructions, he nearly gets run over
  - Daughter manages a jerky three point turn in driveway, stalling and starting repeatedly
  - Daughter runs car into tree
  - Father dives for cover
  - Steam roars from car
